26/02/17 - Sophie and Daisy tell us about a day of sight seeing

Lisbon Falls |
Today, we visited a number of places.
One of which was Lisbon Falls; a beautiful waterfall, another was Blyde River
Canyon where we saw the 'Three Rondavels' and we also visited some market stalls
where we bought a few souvenirs. A few of us attempted to haggle down the
prices so we could get the items a bit cheaper, which worked for some but not
for others. We did try to visit God’s Window, where we saw some monkeys, but
the bad weather lead to poor visibility so we decided to go straight to
Harrie’s Pancakes instead. The pancakes were amazing! They were huge and very
filling! For some of us, it was the first time we had had savoury pancakes. As
a group, we feel very lucky to be able to visit these amazing places as most of
the people who live in these areas aren’t able to visit as they can’t afford
it. We also feel that it was a nice break after a hard week in the
communities.
